New This Month!

ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATURAL MEATS IS A “COLORADO COMPANY TO WATCH”
Rocky Mountain Natural Meats (RMNM) of Commerce City is the first of 50 growing, strong, successful Colorado companies to be celebrated beginning this month by Colorado Companies To Watch (CTW).  As part of the celebration, RMNM was featured by Gregg Moss on the 9News morning broadcast on June 2, 2009.

RMNM, located in Henderson, purchases bison from ranchers on the high plains of United States and Canada. They process, market and sell bison meat to food service and grocer distributors and major grocery chains nationwide. After moving to a new state of the art facility in 2007, RMNM hired 42 additional employees and increased revenue more than 30% in 2008.  With projected hiring expected to grow 10% and revenues another 16% in 2009, RMNM is definitely a Colorado Company to Watch!  Learn more at www.GreatRangeBison.com.

The City of Commerce City, Adams County Economic Development, Metro Denver Economic Development Corporation, and the Colorado Companies to Watch team congratulates owner Bob Dineen and his staff, on this great accomplishment!

CTW is a unique awards program developed by the Edward Lowe Foundation to honor second-stage companies that demonstrate high performance in the marketplace, exhibit innovative products or processes, or otherwise make those companies "worth watching." This national program has been successful in other states but Colorado is the first to roll out a yearlong celebration highlighting one of the fifty award winning companies each week.

Colorado Companies to Watch is a dynamic program honoring growing companies that are developing valuable products and services, creating quality jobs, enriching communities, and building new industries throughout Colorado. This statewide effort, sought out nominations from every community; and it is not industry specific, the winners represent a broad range of economic sectors and regions of our great state.

High performance, second-stage companies, such as RMNM account for most of the economic growth, community development and economic independence in our state.  The companies selected make an astounding impact on Colorado's economy by collectively providing thousands of jobs and contributing millions of dollars of revenue. In short, they tell a compelling story about the state's diverse economic landscape.

The 50 companies selected as 2009 Colorado Companies to Watch will be honored at official festivities on June 25, 2009, at the Seawell Grand Ballroom of the Denver Center of Performing Arts.  Being an honored company will provide the opportunity to gain increased visibility locally, statewide and nationally.  The State of Colorado and its communities will be able to showcase trend-setting leaders in diverse entrepreneurial fields that strengthen the state’s economy.
