Business Parks
Adams County is home to 34 major business parks including major developments by The Schuck Corporation, ProLogis, The Pauls Corporation, LC Fulenwider and Carlson-Parkhill and The Bromley Companies. Adams County also contains the focal point for the biotechnology industry in the Rocky Mountain Region - Fitzsimons, a “square mile of life sciences” located near the juncture of I-70 and I-225 in Aurora. Fitzsimons is comprised of approximately 578 developable acres of land with current development plans calling for reuse and construction of about 13.6 million s/f of building space and parking garages with over 27,000 spaces; 7 million s/f of that building space is projected to be built by 2010. At build out, Fitzsimons is projected to support 32,200 jobs on site with another 34,700 in the metropolitan area.
