Denver ranks sixth best out of 102 big U.S. markets the monthly On Numbers Economic Index for October.
The index is a new yardstick of economic performance compiled by G. Scott Thomas, who covers demographic trends in the On Numbers blog for American City Business Journals, the Denver Business Journal’s parent company.
The index is a monthly rating of the economic vitality of 102 major metropolitan areas, generated by an 18-part formula that includes private-sector jobs, unemployment rates, worker earnings and home values.
