Owens Corning Roofing Plant

LogoOwensCorning_Logo

Owens Corning was the first company to trademark a color, in this case PINK and one of the first to adopt the cartoon character The Pink Panther as its corporate mascot.  They are a Fortune 500 company, a leading global producer of residential and commercial building materials, and a leading manufacturer of shingles and accessories for the residential roofing market.

The Denver roofing plant began operations in the 1950’s, and was purchased by Owens Corning in 1977 from the Lloyd A. Fry roofing company. Annual sales from this plant to its 7-state service area are around $100 million per year.  Normal shift operation is 3 shifts, 5 days per week.
