Business Retention & Expansion (BRE) Taskforce
ACED provides its members with a unique opportunity to support economic development efforts first hand. Through volunteer opportunities with the BRE Taskforce, ACED members can accompany staff on retention visits with existing primary employers in Adams County to gather direct and honest feedback on key issues.
During these face-to-face visits, members can build new relationships with key businesses in Adams County and respond to their immediate challenges and opportunities. With emphasis on quality, confidentiality, honesty and timely follow-up, ACED and the BRE Taskforce can take action to improve the business climate moving forward.
The BRE Taskforce can also quickly connect businesses to Adams County and community resources, such as Planning, Public Works, the Sheriff’s Office and the Fire Department through the involvement of our BRE Resource Board.

ACED’s Existing Business Resource Board
This is an arsenal of “go to” players in the county who have volunteered to be a part of our resource board and dig up the hard to find answers for our members and existing businesses. We can help make your expansion plans go smoothly. The board has resources in Planning, Engineering, Public Works, Fire Department, Sheriff and key utility providers to just name a few.
