We were excited to welcome Vicki Jenings from the Fitzsimons Redevelopment Authority to speak about the Fitzsimons Innovation Campus. The campus is a unique location “where business and science come together to develop innovative technologies that will change the future of healthcare.” Ms. Jenings began her presentation with a brief history of the former Army base, and concluded by giving us a peek at future development plans.
Dr. Pauline Gee followed, bringing a tenant’s perspective on the Fitzsimons Innovation Campus. Dr. Gee works for a number of companies based there, and she provided an overview of the process required to develop new drug therapies. Life science companies now have the ability to tailor treatments to an individual patient based on their needs at the genetic level.
The meeting ended with an update from our President and CEO, Barry Gore. He shared an updated snapshot of the region’s fastest growing industry clusters from the Metro Denver Economic Development Corporation. He also shared a glimpse at the data that came from Metro Denver EDC’s perception study of c-suite executives across the country.
