From views of Shingle Mountain to the Rocky Mountains

On Sept. 12, 2019, our team helped celebrate a successful public-private partnership to clean up the infamous “Shingle Mountain” at I-25 and I-76.

The massive cleanup project involved removal of more than 112,000 cubic yards of shingles long abandoned at the site. Beyond serving as a major code violation, the site was an eyesore for area businesses, residents, and thousands of motorists that passed the lot on their daily commute.

Key partners that came together to get the property ready for productive use included Adams County, Commerce City, ACED member Fiore and Sons, Inc., Republic Services, and the Colorado Department of health.

Congratulations to everyone who came together on this historic undertaking!
